Humanitarian service is at the heart of LCIF and Lions' work. Working together, Lions identify the most crucial needs, and LCIF supports them in humanitarian efforts that transform the lives of people around the world. Our partners are also key in addressing humanitarian needs in the most effective ways. Through our humanitarian work, LCIF is able to empower people with disabilities, address global health concerns, support and serve youth, and more.

Matching Grants : Matching grants (previously called standard grants), are for larger-scale humanitarian projects that address unmet needs. Through matching grant projects, communities gain access to education, technology, health care, safe places for children to play, and many other life-changing improvements.

Lions Quest : Lions Quest is LCIF’s social and emotional learning (SEL) program aimed at teaching kids positive life skills. The program educates kids in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade on drugs and alcohol, bullying, peer pressure, relationship skills, and responsible decision making.

Diabetes : Diabetes is a rapidly growing health concern for people around the world. In an effort to reduce the prevalence of this disease, diabetes grant projects typically support diabetes prevention, education, and improved access to treatment for underserved populations.

Humanitarian Award Winners : The Lions Humanitarian Award is the highest honor of the association, given to an individual or an organization with exemplary humanitarian efforts. This award includes a grant from LCIF of up to US$250,000 for continuing humanitarian activities.
