Leo Service Grants

Leo Service Grants

section

Leo clubs provide young people with an opportunity for personal and professional development and to contribute as responsible members of their local, national and international communities.

Alpha Leo Clubs are designed for youth between 12 and 18 years old. This track focuses on the individual and social development of teens and preteens.

Omega Leo Clubs are tailored for young adults between 18 and 30 years old. This track encourages the personal and professional development of young adults.

Leo service grants will allow Leos to assess, plan, and implement their own service projects. Leos will be able to create a bigger impact in humanitarian initiatives within their communities, while being exposed to valuable leadership and life skills. Grants will be awarded up to US$2,500 for Lions districts and up to US$5,000 for Lions multiple districts. Potential project categories include, but are not limited to, LCI’s service framework, emergency/disaster preparedness and relief, education, health and wellness, community revitalization, and at-risk/vulnerable populations.

Grants must be applied for, at minimum, six weeks prior to the project start date.
